Item 9A - MOTIONS OF COUNCIL
Plaque to honor of Ms. Keon
WHEREAS Ms. Laura Keon was a nurse who came to Timmins to
volunteer during the influenza pandemic of 1918. WHEREAS the Council of the day passed a resolution to build a
memorial to honor Ms. Keon and for some reason it never came to
fruition.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council approve the installation
of a plaque in the memory of Laura Keons sacrifice to fulfill that
commitment.

WHEREAS Ms. Laura Keon was a nurse who came to Timmins to
